Plus, Threadless has let us into a beta that allows for all-over printing, so I have some great ideas for that coming down the line.
Second: We’ve reached the end of the original script that Jimmy gave me back at the beginning of the year. I’ve got more script, but I really want to try something different with it. So we’re holding off on updating this week to give me a little more time to realize my vision for what’s coming next. I hope it turns out the way I want, and that you all dig it.
We’ll see you next week! Thank you for sticking around this long.
As you can hopefully tell by the brand new image above, we’re back. Picking up literally where we left off at the end of Chapter 10. It’s been the better part of 8 months away, and even if we account for November and December being taken up by stressful Holiday shenanigans, that’s still a 6 month break. So what have we been doing for the past 6 months?
Well, the short answer is “Stuff.”
The long answer is, I can’t speak for Jimmy, but I think we needed this break to just hang out, be buds, and not worry about the comic for a little while. We love making it, but first and foremost, it’s a hobby for us. We needed some time to just be friends, and find that balance again. We’ve played a lot of Overwatch, since going on hiatus. We sat down and played all of Metal Gear Solid 4 in single night, and just generally had brotimes. It’s been good.
But we have worked on the story. Where we want it to go, and how we can refocus it, and we hope that you’ll see that refocusing in the coming weeks and months. I’ve also been working on merchandise, all available at intheyearoftherabbit.threadless.com We’ve got t-shirts, a long-sleeve Bunny shirt (your arms are the ears!) that I love, and an assortment of phone cases. Designs will be constantly evolving, and you can expect to see more stuff about that in the future and on Instagram.
Speaking of, on the Social Media front, we’ve pretty much abandoned Twitter. It’s just kind of a dumpster fire that neither Jimmy nor I want to deal with. I’ll be posting weekly updates on the Instagram and Facebook feeds, so if you want to see what we’re doing, that’s where to go. I’ll also be using the Instagram account as more of an art account. So you’ll see everything I’ve been working on, most of which will still be stuff for the comic but with other stuff sprinkled in there too.
It feels good to be back. I’ll be 30 tomorrow, so this is like a little early birthday gift to myself. I hope you guys like it.
Thanks for everything,
